We are pleased to share information about the workshop Dementia and Care: Thinking Beyond Personhood?, which will take place on June 19, 2026, in online format, and which may be of particular interest to students, researchers, and professionals in the fields of anthropology, philosophy, care studies, and health.

The workshop is organized by Dr. Annette Leibing (Université de Montréal), Dr. Fernando Vidal (ICREA - Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies / Universitat Rovira i Virgili), and Dr. Federico Zilio (Università di Padova), within the framework of the project "Human-robot interaction with older adults living with dementia: sociocultural and gender differences and ethical and professional implications in the use of companion robots (MyRobot)", coordinated by Dr. Blanca Deusdad and Dr. Fernando Vidal.

The project is supported by grant PID2023‑147169NB‑I00 from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and is carried out in collaboration with the Università di Padova, the Université de Montréal, the Medical Anthropology Research Center (MARC‑URV), and the Department of Anthropology, Philosophy and Social Work of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
