In this conference, Josep Lluís Mateo Dieste, professor in the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the UAB, explored the history and networks that Gnawa culture and music - recognised in 2019 by UNESCO as intangible heritage of humanity - are weaving between Europe and the Maghreb. This is the first event of the 2026 cycle of the Aula Mediterrània of the IEMed (European Institute of the Mediterranean), on this occasion co-organised with the DAFiTS, and which took place on Tuesday, January 13, in the Arxiu room (classroom 521) of the Catalonia Campus.

This second session of the Social Anthropology Group Seminars, entitled "Collaborative Designs in Social Sciences", took place in the Arxiu d'Etnografia of the Catalonia campus on 3 February. On this occasion, the presentations were given by Cristina Andrade Sampaio, Elena Blanco de Tena and Eva Zafra. Elena Blanco de Tena proposed a dialogue around the pilot test of the Guide to the Collaborative Management of Medication in Barcelona. Thirdly, Eva Zafra presented a teaching innovation experience whose objective is to co-design a prototype of GEOMAP with a real impact on the improvement of intervention strategies related to femicide.

On Wednesday, March 18 at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of the URV, the documentary No estás loca. La verdad sobre la violencia vicaria was screened. The activity, co-organised by the FEMMINOR research project, also included a colloquium with the director, Maria Bestar. The film takes an intimate and collective journey through the stories of women who have suffered vicarious violence in Spain. The piece brings together more than forty testimonies of women, adolescents and professionals - judges, psychologists, journalists, paediatricians - who reveal how the judicial system systematically fails children. The film is, at the same time, a cry for help and a song to hope; a reminder that there is still much to be done, but also that the strength and unity of the victims and those who accompany them can drive necessary change.
