SUMMARY:Webinar: Narratives\, Agency and Resilience: Methodological Challen
ges of Qualitative Research in Contexts of Vulnerability
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:\nWebinar: Narratives\, Agency and Resilience: Methodological C
hallenges of Qualitative Research in Contexts of Vulnerability\n\nJune 11\
, 2026\, 16:00-17:30\n\n[&nbsp\;This activity will be conducted in Spanish
&nbsp\;]\n\nOnline format\n\nQualitative methodologies make it possible to
access complex life experiences and narratives\, especially in contexts m
arked by inequality\, violence\, or social exclusion. However\, researchin
g these narratives raises important methodological and ethical challenges:
how can spaces of trust be created? How can difficult experiences be addr
essed without revictimizing individuals? And how can dimensions of agency\
, resilience\, and meaning-making be identified within these narratives? I
n this regard\, analyzing agency as a relational and temporal process\, as
well as considering situated knowledge\, offers relevant frameworks for a
ddressing these issues.\n\nThis webinar brings together the principal inve
stigators of four projects funded in the 2022 call for &quot\;Knowledge Ge
neration Projects&quot\; by the Spanish State Research Agency:\n\n\n#Frien
dsMatter: Friendship Networks of Immigrant and Ethnic Minority Women that
Are Conducive to Social Integration (PID2022-140540OA-I00\, UAM)\nRESIYOUT
H: Resilient strategies developed by young people of immigrant origin in r
esponse to social exclusion (PID2022-137542OA-I00\, URV)\nFEMMINOR: Needs
and rights of children of femicide victims (PID2021-122999OB-I00\, URV)\nS
urv Child: Children living with gender-based violence. Support networks th
at help them become survivors (PID2022-139274OB-100\, UdG)\n\n\nThe webina
r is also co-organized by the Master&#39\;s Degree in Innovation in Social
and Educational Intervention at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (MIISE)\
, whose commitment to research and transformative intervention fully align
s with the aim of this virtual meeting: to promote collective reflection o
n methodological challenges and lessons learned from qualitative research
with young people and children in vulnerable contexts.\n\nDrawing on their
empirical experiences\, the seminar will focus on identifying principles\
, strategies\, and methodological decisions that not only allow access to
complex narratives but also foster processes of listening that contribute
to the recognition of lived experiences and the emergence of narratives of
agency\, in line with approaches that emphasize the capacity for action e
ven in contexts of inequality.\n\nThe webinar is aimed at researchers\, po
stgraduate students\, and professionals interested in qualitative methodol
ogies applied to complex social contexts.\n\n\nWebinar Agenda\n\n\nIntrodu
